- GOAL: Create an MVP with the top features that will fit the expected budget and timeframe and test it on the Romanian market.
Jobaltor is an online HR marketplace intended to serve as a bridge between recruiters and people that are looking for a job.
Our process & implementation
Based on our MVP development process, we have decided over the top features which will make the project ready for launch and testing the market. They included user registration, the option to create and edit a specialist profile, the option to assign services to each specialist and online payments.
In the process of development, the platform was built based on the Listify theme framework, which is by default integrated with the WP Job Manager plugin. One of the main challenges of this project was to customize the WP Job Manager registration form in order to match the expected structure for HR specialists. This included creating custom fields like:
→ Company details;
→ Education details for the HR Specialist;
→ Specialty;
→ Dynamic pricing options for the services provided by each HR specialist.
One of the key features of Jobaltor is that each recruiter can add their own services and charge the price they choose for each service. This option was implemented through the WooCommerce plugin (services defined as products) and the WooCommerce Vendors extension that enables the option to add multiple services per HR specialist. We have also managed to set up card payments by integrating EuPlatesc — a Romanian payment processor.
With user experience in mind, we have integrated reviews for WP Job Manager and social login, enabling users to sign up using Facebook and LinkedIn.
The platform also includes an HR specialists listing page with filter options. This was implemented by customizing the FacetWP plugin.
Overall, the project has developed from a great idea to a successful online platform, gaining popularity on the Romanian market right from the launching.
