Technics, a renowned brand under the Panasonic umbrella, aimed to enhance its online presence by creating customized websites for Technics PL, CZ and SK.
The client desired these new websites to closely mirror the existing Panasonic websites, ensuring a familiar user experience while incorporating specific features tailored to their business needs.
We aimed to clone the Panasonic websites while incorporating unique branding for Technics, which required meticulous attention to detail. One of the main challenges was ensuring smooth integration between platforms like WooCommerce and Baselinker, which brought technical complexities. We also prioritized proper inventory management to exclude pre-ordered items from imports, preventing stock discrepancies.
To kick things off, the team successfully cloned the Panasonic website structure for Technics PL and CZ, establishing brand consistency. We then updated various details for integration with Eloqua, a marketing automation platform that would enhance the client’s marketing capabilities. Adding a Google Tag Manager (GTM) script improved our ability to track and analyze user interactions, crucial for future marketing efforts.
A significant part of the project involved integrating WooCommerce with Baselinker, streamlining inventory and order management through a REST API key. Customizing the homepage to align with Technics CZ branding created a cohesive user experience.
Effective project management and testing were vital, with a total of 3 hours dedicated to ensuring that all integrations functioned smoothly and the websites were ready for launch.
Following this, we focused on enhancing functionality and user engagement. We installed a back-in-stock notifier plugin to alert customers about product availability, ensuring no sales opportunities were missed. Orders marked as ‘pre-ordered’ were excluded from Baselinker imports for clarity in inventory management, and WooCommerce settings were adjusted to improve user visibility.
To further enrich the user experience, we added a preorder plugin and gamification features using the GamiPress plugin to engage users. An auction plugin for outlet sales was also integrated, and we created an ‘Outlet Products’ field for easier inventory management.
In this phase, we allocated an additional 2 hours for project management and testing to ensure all new features functioned correctly. This structured approach allowed us to navigate challenges effectively and deliver a solution tailored to Technics’ branding and operational needs.
Through targeted feature development and rigorous testing, we have successfully enhanced the Xeroom plugin, ensuring it stands out in the competitive landscape of Xero to WooCommerce integrations.
The new features not only address existing gaps in the market but also provide users with advanced tools to streamline their business processes, cementing Xeroom’s position as a leader in the industry.
