Overview

eRecruiter, an Austrian leader in recruitment software, sought to migrate its website from a dated and inflexible CMS to the more dynamic and versatile WordPress platform.

Founded in 2000, eRecruiter has made significant strides in the recruiting software industry, both domestically and internationally.

The goal of this project was to not only move the website but also to redesign it for better functionality, speed, and user experience.

Challenges

  • Outdated CMS
  • Limited Customization
  • Performance Issues
  • Redesign Needs

Results & Benefits

  • Enhanced Flexibility
  • 90+ on Desktop (Google Page Speed Insights)
  • 78+ on Mobile (Google Page Speed Insights)
  • GTMetrix PageSpeed Score A and YSlow rating B
  • Modernized Design
  • Efficient Content Management
  • Better User Interaction

Our approach

We began by developing a detailed specifications document outlining the migration, redesign, and optimization plans. This ensured a comprehensive understanding and control over the project’s scope and requirements.

To achieve a fast-loading site and avoid the pitfalls of predefined visual builders, we created custom Gutenberg blocks. This approach allowed for a pixel-perfect redesign while maintaining easy backend management and future content updates without additional coding.

We established custom post types for various website entities such as Case Studies, Customers, Team, and Partners. Advanced Custom Fields PRO was utilized to enhance scalability and manage custom fields for these entities, ensuring a clean and efficient backend architecture.

Gravity Forms was implemented for handling contact forms, providing a seamless way for users to interact with eRecruiter’s team.

To finalize the project, we used WP Rocket for page caching and applied custom speed optimizations. This resulted in notable improvements in the website’s speed and performance metrics.

Conclusions

The successful migration and redesign of eRecruiter’s website to WordPress not only resolved the limitations of the previous CMS but also delivered a high-performing, visually appealing, and user-friendly platform.

The project’s results highlight the effectiveness of our approach in enhancing website speed, functionality, and design, ultimately contributing to eRecruiter’s continued success in the competitive recruiting industry.
