Overview

Candex is a global procurement and payments platform serving large enterprises worldwide. As part of their communications strategy, they needed a dedicated media website to act as a centralized hub for press releases, third-party media coverage, and video content mentioning the company.

Their requirements went beyond a simple presentation site. The platform needed to function as a media outlet, offering a clean editorial experience for readers while remaining extremely easy to use for internal teams. At the same time, security and performance were non-negotiable due to Candex’s FinTech positioning and enterprise audience.

WPRiders was engaged to architect and build media.candex.com as a high-performance, secure, and maintainable publishing platform. The objective was to combine WordPress usability with static-site performance and security, while supporting advanced requirements such as role-based access control, multilingual content, and right-to-left (RTL) language support.

The result needed to empower non-technical users to publish content effortlessly, while delivering near-instant load times and enterprise-grade security.

Our Approach

Our engagement began with architectural decision-making centered on security, performance, and editorial simplicity. Given Candex’s enterprise and FinTech context, we opted for a WordPress + Hardypress solution, combining the editorial power of WordPress with the security and speed of a static website.

Hardypress generates static HTML files from WordPress content, dramatically reducing server load and eliminating many common CMS attack vectors. This approach allowed us to meet strict security requirements while still providing Candex’s team with a familiar and intuitive publishing interface.

Performance optimization was foundational to the build. By serving static files, eliminating unnecessary runtime processing, and carefully managing asset delivery, we achieved near-instant load times. Render-blocking resources were removed entirely, resulting in a 0ms render delay and consistent sub-second performance across pages.

Ease of use for internal teams was a core priority. We designed a clean WordPress backend tailored to editorial workflows, minimizing cognitive load and simplifying content creation. Custom post types were introduced to clearly separate press releases, external media mentions, and video content—ensuring clarity for both editors and site visitors.

Role-based access control was implemented to support secure collaboration across teams, allowing different permission levels for administrators, editors, and contributors. This ensured governance and accountability without slowing down publishing workflows.

Multilingual support was delivered using WPML, including full right-to-left language compatibility. This allowed Candex to serve global audiences while maintaining consistent performance and editorial structure across languages.

Throughout the project, we maintained a deliberately clean and minimal front-end design, ensuring that content—not interface complexity—remained the focus. The visual approach reinforces credibility and professionalism, aligning with Candex’s enterprise positioning.
